The City of Boynton Beach has contracted with the Boynton Beach Faith Based CDC, Inc. to implement Rental Assistance funds through HUD's CDBG-CV funds and the CARES ACT Amendment.
The Boynton Beach CDC will provide intake/application services and coordinate a rental assistance program and ensure the eligibility of all households participating in the program. Payments will be made directly to landlords on behalf of the approved households.

Guidelines
City of Boynton Beach renter households may apply for rental assistance in which one or more individuals meet the following criteria:

Qualifies for unemployment or experienced a reduction of household income;

Incurred significant costs, or experienced other financial hardships due to COVID-19;

Demonstrates a risk of homelessness or housing instability; and
-
Has a household income at or below 80% of the area median.
All applicants must present the following documentation in order to apply for services:

Evidence of COVID-19 direct or indirect impact
-
Evidence of risk of homelessness or housing instability

Evidence of income eligibility
-
Valid government issued ID

Evidence that they reside within the city limits of Boynton Beach, you may look up your address on the property appraiser's website. Your Parcel Control Number must begin with 08-
Applications will be ranked based on completeness of application and income eligibility. Priority will be given to those households under 50% of median income levels, otherwise processed on a first-come-first served basis.
Payments will be processed once all verifications and required documentations are completed with landlord and employers. Payments will be made directly to the landlord or his designee according to the lease agreement for up to 3 months of rental, not the exceed $4,500. Ownership will be verified through the PBC Property Appraiser's Office.
Applicants will be assisted, when necessary, with household budgeting and counseling services and access to additional resources available on-line or by referrals to assist with household stabilization.
